18.05.03 - Wildnet, the market leading business process solutions provider to the insurance and reinsurance industry, today announced its entry into the US insurance market. Founded in 1998, Wildnet has developed a number of the insurance industry’s best-known and most successful web based processing systems that incorporate an array of functions. These include:
- TLO-Online.com, a website that enables marine hull insurers and brokers to purchase Total Loss Only reinsurance online
- CargoInsure.com, the leading global cargo insurance site designed for brokers
- PBO-Online.com, the leading website for civil aircraft insurance
- Eazypro.com, the leading website for professional liability coverage
In the last five years, Wildnet has developed in excess of 20 processing systems to insurers and brokers while building a reputation for leveraging technology to promote processing efficiencies for customers. Transactional premium volume from Wildnet built processing systems in the next 12 months is anticipated to be in excess of $500 million.
Wildnet helps insurance companies conceive and create new technology based products, build and host their new web sites, and implement the “back office” processes to make the new businesses run smoothly and efficiently.
What sets Wildnet apart from other e-commerce integrators is the company’s approach to development. Web sites and processes are inspired and designed by insurance industry professionals with first-hand, real-world sales and claims processing experience. “Thanks to our insurance industry experience, we can serve as a bridge between the insurance and technology pieces,” explained Wildnet’s Chief Executive Mark Birrell. “Our insurance industry expertise enables customers to take full advantage of new technologies that work. We’re eager to prove our approach in the US market.”
Based in London, Wildnet has offices in Australia, Singapore, New Orleans and, now, in New York. Though new to the US market, Wildnet has already established important strategic alliances with some of the leading providers of software and services, including Software AG and Trace Isys.
At ACORD, Wildnet (Booth #210) will be introducing three new products:
- Wildnet Knowledge Centre, an integrated document management and workflow system using Microsoft technology
- Wildnet Insurance Platform, an insurance trading and processing platform designed specifically for high-volume businesses
- Wild Commercial, an insurance platform enabling users to customize their business processes and distribution
During ACORD, Mr. Birrell, together with Mark Chapman, CEO of Global Aerospace, will present a case history about the development of an Internet-based underwriting system for insuring civil aircraft. A joint presentation will be given on “Leveraging Technology to Create Internal Efficiencies.” Wildnet has received a host of industry awards in recognition of their achievements:
