07.11.02 - Wildnet Group, the market leading e-commerce services provider to the insurance and reinsurance industry, has announced the launch of its Wildnet Insurance Platform (WIP) software.
In addition, Wildnet announced that they have successfully installed WIP within Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers Ltd. (Global Aerospace), the world’s largest aerospace insurer.
Wildnet Insurance Platform (WIP) is an insurance trading and processing platform aimed at insurers trading high volume business. Built using Java based software, WIP, being an Internet based platform, can be deployed both within an organisation and, if required, extended via the Internet to brokers, direct customers and affiliation groups.
Some of WIP’s features include:
- a base system with a high degree of configurability
- a set of design principles allowing addition and extension of new functionality
- an environment which enables Wildnet to produce customised services for clients, but which also allows clients to implement elements of their legacy systems, if required.
WIP provides clients with a system that reflects their own specific business processes, branding and house style. WIP is already integral to Global Aerospace’s Private, Pleasure and Business insurance website, available to view and to trade, on www.pboonline.com
The new PBO Online website enables Global Aerospace staff and their brokers to facilitate faster and more intuitive quotes than allowed by their previous system. Comprising various elements of advanced functionality, the system facilitates and includes many advanced features.
Mark Birrell, Chief Executive of Wildnet, commenting on this development, said:
“WIP is a cornerstone development for the Wildnet business and we are delighted that it is now successfully installed within Global Aerospace and, from here on in, available to the wider insurance marketplace. The PBO Online website which Wildnet has created to Global Aerospace’s demanding specifications will enable brokers to obtain a ‘quick quote’ with indication of cost, conditions and even a preview of policy wording. In only a few minutes, brokers can have a definitive quotation for their client, which can be
accepted on the spot. PBO Online will prove to be a truly user-friendly and secure system for the Private, Business and Pleasure insurance community.
WIP is the backbone of a technology that will enable Global Aerospace’s brokers to provide the highest standards of service to their clients, with minimal effort and cost to themselves. The system will also enable them to get customers off the ground quickly and with virtually no paperwork.”
Mark Chapman, Group Head of Information Technology for Global Aerospace added:
“Over the past year, we have worked extremely closely with Wildnet in order to give ourselves the cutting-edge in online insurance and broking services for the aerospace sector. We were delighted with the launch of PBO Online. The new system is both faster and more intuitive than our previous system. Our staff can request, bind and issue policy documentation in minutes. We are so pleased with the system that we are rolling it out to approved brokers during the next few months so that they can enjoy the same benefits that we have found.” |
