Mark Birrell has nearly 30 years experience in the insurance industry and has gained exposure to a number of sectors having commenced his career broking in the Lloyd's marine market.
In 1997, Mark developed one of the insurance industry's first ever interactive insurance trading websites for the freight forwarder community. Based on the success of the website, and a belief in the potential for trading insurance online, Mark co-founded Wildnet Group in August 1998 with the Benfield Group. In April 2004, Mark led the management buyout from the Benfield Group.
Mark is a recognised authority on eBusiness initiatives within the insurance industry. He contributes to a number of industry publications and regularly speaks at international conferences and seminars.

Nick Fazakerley is a Chartered Accountant with many years of wide ranging experience at a senior level including CFO positions at Blue Arrow and Manpower. He has run his own business and management consultancy practice and his most recent position before joining Wildnet was CEO of Best International Group.

Ges Whitmore has over 35 years experience in insurance and IT. He founded Crisp Computing Ltd which grew by 1998 to employ 225 people with profits of over £4m.
Ges merged Crisp with Moneyextra.com in 2000, and became CEO of the enlarged renamed business, Exchange fs plc. In 2001 he sold Exchange to Marlborough Stirling Group and joined the Board as Group Business Development Director. Ges participated in the Wildnet management buyout from Benfield and joined the Board in April 2004.

Ian Jackson has nearly 40 years experience in the IT industry, primarily in the Finance Sector. After a number of positions at Logica he was appointed Managing Director of Logica Finance in 1991. He subsequently joined Cap Gemini Ernst & Young in 1992 to head up their Global Finance Sector and remained with CGEY until the end of 1999.
Ian participated in the Wildnet management buyout from Benfield and joined the Board in April 2004.

Neil Brown has chaired Wildnet since its management buyout from Benfield in April 2004.
Neil has wide ranging experience of investing and developing high growth businesses in the technology and financial services arena from start-ups to public companies. Neil was a Deloitte’s partner before joining Apax Partners, one of the World’s leading providers of private equity, where he built the financial services investment business.
